MC7015 - ISO M05 - M15 CVD coated grade for high efficiency turning of austenitic stainless steels. Excellent wear resistance in high speed cutting conditions. TiCN and micro grain Al2O3 coating delivers balanced wear and chipping resistance. Specially engineered carbide substrate provides excellent resistance to plastic deformation. Specifically designed for 300 series stainless steel applications.

Chipbreaker
FH - Finish cutting. First recommendation for finishing carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. Double sided chip breaker. Stable chip control even at small depths of cut.
Depth of cut: up to 1mm
Feed rate: 0.08 to 0.2mm

LM - Light cutting. Excellent burr control. Reduces the incidence of burrs drastically because the sharpness properties and cutting edge strength are optimised with different rake angles.
Depth of cut: 0.7 - 2.0
Feed rate: 0.10 - 0.40

LP - Light cutting. Butterfly protrusions are optimized for different cutting conditions. Chips curl upwards and reduce cutting resistance, resulting in improved surface finishes. The breaker protrusion is highly resistant to wear even during high-speed machining, delivering stable chip breaking for long periods of time. Excels in copy machining: uses a sharp edge geometry that delivers excellent chip breaking when copy machining and during reverse direction face machining.
Depth of cut: 0.3 - 2.0
Feed rate: 0.10 - 0.40

GM - Sub breaker of the main LM and MM chipbreaker. Excellent notch resistance for light to medium cutting.
Depth of cut: 1.0 - 3.5
Feed rate: 0.10 - 0.35

MA - For medium cutting of carbon and alloy steels. Double sided chip breaker with positive land which provides a sharp cutting action.
Depth of cut: 0.08 to 4mm
Feed rate: 0.2 to 0.5mm

MM - Medium cutting. Excellent resistance to plastic deformation of insert corner as a result of obtaining the optimum land geometry by simulation analysis technology.
Depth of cut: 1.5 - 3.5
Feed rate: 0.15 - 0.30

MP - Medium cutting. Suits a broad range of copy turning conditions, eliminating the need for multiple insert types. Ideal for small cuts: the inner side of the butterfly protrusion has a steep gradient to improve chip breaking performance on small cuts.
Depth of cut: 0.3 - 4.0
Feed rate: 0.16 - 0.50

MS - For medium cutting for difficult to machine materials. Excellent for Nickel base alloys, titanium and stainless steels.
Depth of cut: 0.40- 1.8
Feed rate: 0.08 - 0.20

MW - Wiper insert for medium cutting of carbon and alloy steel. Double sided chipbreaker. Wiper allows up to double the feed. Wide chip pocket prevents jamming.
Depth of cut: 0.9 - 4.0
Feed rate: 0.20 - 0.60

RM - Rough cutting. Excellent fracture resistance. By optimizing the land angle and honing geometry, high cutting edge stability is achieved during interrupted machining.
Depth of cut: 2.5 - 6.0
Feed rate: 0.25 - 0.55

RP - Rough cutting. Peninsular protrusion optimised for rough cutting. The gradually sloped cutting face prevents clogging and reduces crater wear. High fracture resistance: the cutting flute has a strong flat-land shape and broad chip pocket to reduce clogging and fracturing during chamfering.
Depth of cut: 1.5 - 6.0
Feed rate: 0.25 - 0.60
