Product Specification
With the ability to be used on the most common engineering materials, these Silver-Flo™ Flux-Coated solder rods are ideal for quick and easy repair work on joints and small crack that require fillers. Combining a short melting range and a low brazing temperature, the product is very free flowing and possesses superb mechanical properties including a resistance to dezincification. Is also cadmium free, making it usable in the manufacturing of food and drinks equipment. Flux-coated rod form meaning it does not require any extra flux for all normal brazing requirements. Suited for joints with a gap of 0.05 - 0.15mm.
Features and Benefits
• Low brazing temperature and short melting range allows quick and easy working and repairing of joints
• Has a superb resistance to dezincification even in sea water applications
• Comes already pre-coated with flux for immediate use
• Provides an alternative to Easy Flo 2 which contains cadmium, making it unsuitable for use in food and drink manufacturing equipment
• Flux-coated rod form meaning it does not require any extra flux for all normal brazing requirements
Typical Applications
• Suitable for seawater applications due to its resistance to dezincifacation
• Cadmium free properties make the product suited for use on food and drink handling equipment
• Can be used on materials including copper and copper alloys including brasses, bronzes, nickel silvers, aluminium bronze and copper nickel, nickel and nickel alloys, carbon and low alloy steels and stainless steels
